Who is responsible for your data
Competition Heaven Ltd is the data controller for the information you give us through this site. Our contact details are on the contact page.
What we collect and why
**Account details** — your name, email address, postal address, telephone number and date of birth. We need these to run your account, to check you are 18 or over, and to identify you if you win. The lawful basis is performance of a contract, and legal obligation for the age check.
**Entry and play records** — the competitions and games you enter, the ticket numbers you hold, the questions you were asked and the results. We keep these because they are the record of the competition itself. The lawful basis is performance of a contract.
**Payment records** — the amount, date, reference and card type of each payment, and the last four digits of the card. We never see or store your full card number; that stays with our payment provider. The lawful basis is performance of a contract and legal obligation.
**Spending and protection settings** — your monthly limit, your month-to-date spend and any self-suspension. The lawful basis is legal obligation and legitimate interest in operating responsibly.
**Marketing preferences** — only if you opt in. You can withdraw at any time from your account or from any email we send.
Who we share it with
Our payment provider, our email provider, and our delivery partners when you have won a physical prize. We do not sell your data to anyone and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
How long we keep it
Account and transaction records are kept for seven years after your account closes, which is the period our tax and anti-fraud obligations require. Marketing preferences are kept until you change them. Enquiries are kept for two years.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, object to processing, or ask us to restrict it. Email us and we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to keep the site secure. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, which is why you do not see a consent banner. Our cookies page lists each one.
